Shame things have gone quiet on the studio album. Appears JMJ is more into creating electronic products than producing music. If it keeps him happy and active, good on him.

Do we think we will ever get a decent synthesizer album from Jarre again, his music is bloody awful these days and has a really cheap, childish feel to it. There are kids doing WAY better electronica these days and I bet they all used to idolise him infront of his huge Houston keyboard miming away to that fantastic Equinoxe 5.

I would hope he can still make great music, if not, then let's me grateful what he has done so far.

I agree with Kanta. There is nothing wrong with him. His music is/was a gift to all,
without right to continued. No commitment.
It is childish to demand more and more gifts.

Gifts? It would just be exciting to hear some good music from him again - I dont know him personally so all Im interested in is his music. Cant see the point in worshiping someone for the sake of it - do you have posters of him over your beds? xx

You think I am dreary and boring yet you reply to my post. You have no idea the way I feel about JMJ. It is none of your business especially after just the few posts you have made since joining the forum. I can remove/edit your posts, just in case you can’t see I am a Mod here. If you can’t be polite with your opinions then you will be removed from the forum. You are certainly not a decent fan. There are ways to communicate your unhappiness with the way the future has been for JMJ. If you feel this way, no-one is preventing you from not being his fan. For your information, I don’t think he is perfect. No-one is but he is the next best thing. You should count yourself lucky to have heard JMJ’s music in the first place. It is also none of your business whether Black Bird or I have posters of JMJ on our walls.

There's enough intolerance going on around the world right now not to add more.

I think Everybody is impatient with Jean Michel's new music, but we're not going to hurry things by any means. Let's face it.

Depends on your definition of the word FAN. Im a fan of all Jarre's great and outstanding creations but not his poorer efforts - does that make me a 'bad' fan or just a unsentimental honest fan?

Will refrain from continuing as I have no desire to offend anyone so sensitive to straightforward chat.

With all due respect Waldorf, everybody is is entitled to their opinion. I personally draw the line at personal critiques of others for theirs. Everyone here knows the work and dedication Kanta gives to this forum - that's how she shows her respect for the man and his music.
I want a new JMJ album as much as anyone, but I'd wait until hell freezes over to avoid a repeat of a T&T style album. I enjoy his latter albums such as Sessions 2000, Bourges, Geometry of Love etc. but of course not as much as the classics.
My main beef with T&T was it wasn't so much a JMJ album as it was a Tim Hufken idea of what a JMJ album should be today. If he comes up with a classic next, then great. If he doesn't I still have his back catalogue to enjoy ....

BTW I have an Oxygene Marigny poster in my 'mancave' does that count ?

We can't like everything a person does. If you have taken the time to read the forum you may realise that my approach has always been truthful but drawing the line to being rude. Not all JMJ's music is equal for me in standards.

It is a bit late as you have already offended me. Being sensitive and straightforward is part of life and I do not wish to waste life. I hope you will refrain from being rude anymore.
