I think you mean change it back to "Studio Album XXXX" Shadow :D

Regarding DVD / BD releases - the concerts would definitely benefit from a DVD release. Why not
1. remix them for 5.1 DTS surround
2. have the complete setlist of the huge Cities In Concerts gigs
3. extras etc. etc.

The Concerts In China could also be released on Blu-Ray, as it was recorded on film - assuming the original reels can be located.
While they're at it, someone could ask CCTV China very nicely to locate any recordings they may have of the original Chinese TV broadcast(s) - what an extra that would be :D

Unfortunately JMJ doesn't give a damn, or doesn't deign to tell the fanbase why none of this is possible or desireable ...
Any news we get now is via fans like Kanta and fansites working their socks off to give us something in the absence of anything official - much appreciated BTW :D

It says something when the last direct communication from JMJ/Aero Prod. was a New Year greeting on Facebook January 14th (!), and the latest update to the official website omits a news tab ...
Concerts attended:
Destination Docklands 1988
Paris la Defense 1990
Europe in Concert - Wembley Stadium 1993
Oxygene Tour - Wembley Arena 1997
Theatre Marigny Paris 2007
Oxygene Tour - NCH Dublin 2008
2010 Tour - The 02 Dublin The 02 London (10-10-10)
Electronica Tour - 3Arena Dublin 2016

There will be a new "special" (do not know what that means) album next year followed by another album.
I'm sure Jean Michel is trying to match the release with a big concert (maybe in Perth).

Changed the title to 20XX for obvious reasons. Just a side note, this will be the 6th time the topic title has been amended, due to these reasons it will only be changed once an "official" announcement has been made.

Thanks for adding this, JB.

Though, we have been feeding rumours like this...

Where does the "special" info come from?
Jarre concerts attended - Destination Docklands 1988 - Paris La Defense 1990 - Europe In Concert 1993 (Manchester & London) - Oxygene Tour 1997 (Birmingham)

Edith Napias told me the album would be "special" and that Jean Michel was "working well" but she wouldn't tell me anymore…
Special doesn't mean anything to me… all JMJ albums are special :peacemaan:

Well, it's fact, we've been getting some disappointing things from Jarre over recent years, but I wouldn't call it "hater". Not at all. I'm far from it, despite seems the opposite.

I think, that is waste of time for waiting a new album. Still the same next year until the dead.

:? Why do you hate him ???

Ok, maybe he will never produce a new Album, or only an Album with " help" of so many other musicians, means this will be not his own (?) ....Ok ! Maybe you are right.
For me it seams also he will go out of the Business . There are so much signs, that he has other main interests as producing Music, and he distances himself more and more from the fans.

I have similar experiences as a fan, but no reason to hate him. It's his life and if he sees other duties for themselves for the rest of his life it is his decision. Is a shame, but we have to respect. :(

OK, now it's for sure. In 2014, there is certainly no new album. I really think Jarre absolutely little effort will do to bring new music. My suspicions still go out to a complete stop. If Jarre new music will ever release, yet this will be only via a download. But hope not.

You can change easely the title of this topic to: "Finish"
Concerts:
Paris La defense 1990
Le Mont Saint Michel 1993
Bruxelles Heysel 1993
Concert pour la tolérance 1995
Showcase Teo and Tea Lint Belgique 2007
