And what is, pray tell, the definition of "sounding like Oxy"?

Preview of Oxygene 15

"Oxygene 15: is the most minimalist part based on a constant variation of one sound, the sound of the bass sequence, which is constantly on the edge of either being contained or exploding…"

After listening to it a few times, I come to the conclusion this is the Jarre of Arpegiator, third part of Rendez-Vous 5, Oxygene 11. And that's not a bad thing, mind you!

I like the album, and with each listening, I'm liking it more. So my final verdict will be given when I know the album by heart. Now listening to Oxygene 14 and I really love this track.

As you know JMJ performed Oxygène #19 for the very first Time there. Here is the video I took : https://youtu.be/529kr-TDDQA
Don't hesitate to share ! I posted a few videos on Youtube. See my channel.
Enjoy ! :P

Welcome. Your videos have exceptional sound (as far as concert bootlegs are concerned). You wouldn't happen to have a recording of Oxygene 17, Circus, Web Spinner by any chance? ;)
Thanks. I used my iPhone 😊
I'll check it. But I may have parts only. And more than 700 photos 🎹😊😛

Well my CD won't arrive from Amazon UK until next week, but I believe I will get the MP3 album in Amazon Music tomorrow. It's sounding better than I first thought, but I obviously need to hear the whole thing a few times.

Reminds a little of the second part of the Chronologie 1, I expected that to "take-off" at some stage, but it didn't. Still a great track though imo.

Anyway, this reviewer likes the album:

Hi Steaser39,

thanks for sharing the video.
Can you tell us, when Jean-Michel played "Oxygene 19"? Was it an encore or in the main setlist? Was it a "bonus track" or did he leave another track out? Just for my statistics...

Regards,
Oxygene

Just grabbed a digital version, but I think I might just wait for my boxset to arrive tomorrow and make it more of a ritual of listening.

Where did you get your digital copy? It's not available anywhere I've looked.

Every rule has exceptions :D

Yes, I'd even pay for an illegal download of MFS at high quality. Principles be damned!
