Oh good, than it's not just me. How the hell do you mess something that easily up?

But want me to fix the colours for you? I can have it done in no time! I will be changing the colour order of all the tracks so it start with red and ends with magenta though

Well, obviously I can change the color but it won't be the same. I would personally start out on the default blue and end on it as well (so 1 would have the same color as 10 has now).

Except on the original album the transition is seamless. Here you can instantly hear it. And it tries to improvise too much to make it similar to the Equinoxe 7 intro. In general I'm not a huge fan of those forced references to the original album.

Were those posters ever released in uncompressed format? I'd love to have a full resolution uncompressed version of both posters.

Edit: In Equinoxe Infinity, that laughing that starts at around 5:20, is that the same laughing from the middle section of Magnetic Fields? It sounds very much alike.

It's a shame that Movement 5 is not longer, it could be a great track.

I lucked out with the lottery and got the "good" cover artwork on my LP.
After one listen I can say that it works rather well as an album, even including the weird movement 6 (cue the remix contest ).
The occasional nods to the original are much appreciated, especially the "band-in-the-rain"-esque movement 5 and the lovely transitions of movments 6 thru 8.
All in all, I like this a *lot* more than Oxygene 3 - definitely his best since Oxygene 7-13, despite all the wacky ideas behind it.

Which one do you consider the good one? I have the yellow/orange one and find it terrific.

The best art cover of the album is, imho the one with the fire. That cover is exactly what the music represents…. and it is more beautiful than the other one

For me it's just the opposite, but nevermind the artwork - at the end of the day it's the music that matters, and Jarre really delivers on this one. :D

Guess I'm not that optimistic about the future and all. We're doomed and can blame no one but ourselves as a species :P

Just finished Equinoxe Infinity. There's certainly a lot about it that I enjoyed, being that Jarre certainly messed around with a lot of ideas here. There's never a dull moment, the production was generally solid, and it ultimately leaves you wanting to revisit it. I will say that this definitely is to Equinoxe as Oxygene 7-13 was to Oxygene, where it's evident that even as there are a lot of ideas, it isn't exactly the most consistent listening experience. Also, it certainly did feel a bit more modern than 7-13, as any of the old school Jarre tricks are a bit more subdued here, so YMMV is this actually works as a sequel. Though for me, I certainly think it's a solid follow up.

I am glad to see a lot of the reactions being positive so far, though who knows if there's to be more picking apart after this. I will say that I still think I prefer Oxy 3, since I think I get more emotional when listening to that. Of course, I need Infinity to sit with me more before I can decided where it lands. :D

I like that Movement 10 has references to other tracks from the album (so far I heard Movement 1 and 6), just like Equinoxe 8 had with Equinoxe 5.

High-Res audio from (a.o) Qobuz is still compressed the life out of it compared to the record.
