Self-made Jarre cover artworks

Hello,

what do you think of creating a database for self-made Jarre covers (CD's, DVD's and VideoCD's)? I'm often thinking about it... There are a few reasons why this could be interesting for many people:

- some people are very good graphic-designers and maybe they want to share their good cover artworks with others
- many people want to have cool covers for their inofficial material and bootlegs - but maybe they are to lazy to do this or they have no time or possibility to do it
- why should someone make a cover if it's already exist?

I have a few self-made covers from me and I'm ready to share them. Maybe someone here has a little bit of webspace for uploading it - or maybe Noyau can open a new category for this in his JMJ database...

Come on - let's share it.

Best regards,

You can use my avatar if you only write that Leelene has the copyright of the painting!

Over the last few years JarreUk collected a little selection of my drawings and paintings dedicated to Jarre's realm in its Artwork Gallery section http://www.questbbs.fsnet.co.uk/gallery15.htm
I never thought about the possibility to use them like self-made covers, but someone could find some image able to fit with its own compilation or bootleg. Recently surfing the web I discovered that one of my last artworks, "Gdansk Symphony" created few days before the Gdansk concert, was used by some websites like tag or thumbnail for the link to Jarre discography. I appreciated it a lot but I would like to see also the name of the author sometimes.....
Other artworks from my painting production can be seen on http://afantini.deviantart.com/.

Not bad BUT I GOT SEVERLY Chastised by Jarre Net because some of my covers used some pics from that site and I was told I was breaking copyright. So be careful what you put up. I have a ton of covers I will find if you like.

Pretty good idea, and I can add a new section on my database without problem, I can host files on my servers too :D

But I won't be able to upload this part quite often, I am not at home at the moment, I can only connect on internet the morning :(
Ludger, do you want to be the moderator of this part ? :D

Hello noyau,

you're writing faster than I... :) Thank you very much for your option to open a new section on your database! And thanks for your offer to moderate this category. But I don't think I'm the right person for the moderator job because I often have a "write restriction" - look at my low posting number (only 16 postings)...

Bootleg covers would be VERY VERY USEFUL. As for covers to the ones that already exist (Oxygene, Equinoxe, etc.) I see no point I'm afraid.
