Only quibble I have is that it sounds slightly sped up or pitch-shifted?
Thanks; glad you enjoyed. As for whether its not at the right speed...I don't know - JM sounded pretty normal when he was speaking, to me. I didn't hear anything alarming so never checked it against original recordings. If it bugs you, feel free to tweak itDomestos wrote: Wed Jan 05, 2022 4:13 pmThis is some good work - like magic! Always loved these radio broadcasts. This also further supports my earlier 'the drums are live' theory

I guess speed of sound, If you were standing nearer to one speaker than the other, you would hear the second speaker but with a slight delay. If you were bang centre you would be better off but you would still be getting delay from other speakers further down the dock. Hence why in paris they had so few speaker stations, they had to be out of reach of the previous station in order to avoid the same delay. Why the radio broadcast was like that, god only knows, they could have come off the desk.AERO62 wrote: Sat Dec 25, 2021 11:07 pmII wonder what was causing all the echoing ?Synner wrote: Sat Dec 25, 2021 9:03 pm Mr Martian (or may I call you Flip?)
You have made my day (if not my Christmas) with this Docklands upload.
It didn't sound that good on the night - I know, as I was one of those voices you can hear cheering - I may also have been the one that made the radio recording we've all been listening to all these years (well, my brother, as I was at the gig, he was at home recording the BBC broadcast)
On your version, you can actually HEAR Equinoxe V - on the night, the echo was so bad the notes blended together (that wasn't just the radio broadcast, by the way, it actually DID sound like that live).
So, some 33 years later, I finally get to HEAR the concert!
