Unlikely that demoes would make it to the set, but of course not impossible. Early collaborations with Samuel Hobo, Gerard Lenorman, Christophe etc., are unlikely as well since it would involve a lot of legal work and not feature JMJ as the main artist, which would be a bit of a stretch.

I think the possibilities we are looking at include:

Happiness is a sad song
La Cage
Erosmachine
AOR
Deserted Palace

I also remember vaguely reading somewhere some years ago about some additional early stage projects (ballet/opera), but can't recall what it was...

Looking at my list, then, with the exception of Happiness is a sad song and finally the complete AOR pieces, we're looking at readily available bootleg stuff, and it hardly contains enough for a full box-set, even with the inclusion of unkown electro acoustic projects from the GMR days... It will probably make a neat little CD with only some of Deserted Palace stuff (I think he will be embarrassed to release it all) and one or two unknown tracks he has dug up... Just conjecture on my part, of course

I must say that I doubt this project will ever see the day, but I would love to get the entire AOR and listen to the Happiness is a sad song and other GMR experiments. IMO AOR may be his best work. :)

I don't think JMJ is embarrassed about any of his work. He's not that type of guy.

BTW it's been over a year since he said "next year"..... :?

Yeah, pin a piece of paper on the wall and count the days... :P

I mean - JM's just a very ambitious guy, I suppose. He was asked about it, and then said, "sure, next year" - taking that 200% seriously is one interpretation... I would lower my expectations a little bit and only really count on official statements... :D

I'd like to see re-releasesof his main albums as collectors discs. Paul Weller recently re-released Stanley Road: Disc One - the original album and b-sides, Disc Two - outtakes, rough cuts, unreleased material from the period and demos, disc three - DVD of live performances and a documentary...

Imagine something like that for Oxygene - remixed into 5.1... cool! ! 8)

Well, all those rare remixes from the 80s that never appeared on any CD would be nice to have in some nifty boxed set... :D
