From the discussion on the Discord server, bad news, I think :( (The quotes below from another user, not from myself, btw)

"Yes, and if spectator capacity is reached then no else will get in, that's what I was told today by person at ticket portal, they also would not confirm what the capacity is, they also would not confirm capacity at the special reserved stage area for starmus ticket holders so they weren't very helpful"

"Yeah me too, I'm travelling from Scotland and bought starmus tickets for myself and my partner specifically to get privileged access closer to the stage but I wouldn't have bothered if they had advised about there being a capacity limit from the outset, I hope I have not wasted 396 euros on starmus tickets, I won't even be attending starmus events, just Jarre's concert"

Earlier on this thread, I raised the issue of numbers, capacity and wondering if the event would still need tickets, even if it was free to attend. Seems like a terrible mistake to advertise a free concert, without tickets, but also have a crowd size limit. I have booked flights from the UK for my daughter and me and I really don't like the idea of having to queue for hours and hours only to be turned away because the audience area is full. The choice of location does not lend itself to a wider, panoramic viewing. Either you are in the car park, part of the 'official crowd' and get to see the show, or you are not and outside the perimeter fence means security/policy probably won't let you hang around.

Me too.... I was really excited, and I suppose I still am, but I was always puzzled by the location. It doesn't lend itself to a big, wide panorama view for a large crowd of unlimited size. It's basically a small stage in a small car park with the UFO bridge tower in the background. So when it was advertised as a free concert but WITHOUT tickets, I started to worry.

Now, I have the sense that when gates open at 6pm they'll only let a few thousand into the audience area and then close the gates when it's full. And those outside the gates will be asked to disperse.

Some info complete with maps and list of forbidden items here

https://www.vivien.sk/event/starmus.html

The bridge will be ONLY between 20:00 and 23:00, which is not ideal for the crowds we are anticipating. The concert is supposed to last from 21:00 until 22:50.

From what I heard through the grapevine, I would say the officials are aware that much more people than the capacity of the concert area will show up. It seems to be part of the plan that the people will gather on the streets, bicycle lanes and walkways around the area, but one gets the impression it must not be announced officially. Anyway, one of my contacts told me: "It's a bit like Houston back then". I don't think anyone outside the area must be afraid that he or she can't stay there.

It's going to be a good day, no rain but lots of sun, so don't forget to bring sunscreen if you're in the city at daytime.

It is really useful! I assume Vivien is the local event organisation? Interesting that they have a list of banned items, which makes me think there will be a perimeter fence and security checkpoints.

There's a fixed fence around the whole Incheba Expo area, including the parking lot where the stage is built. The only entrance will be the main entrance at Einsteinova street. And yes, there will be security checks at the entrance. No professional camera equipment allowed for the concert.

A TV crew of RTL Germany will be there on Thursday. The report is planned to be broadcast on Friday morning on RTL Germany.

Saturday 11th of May:
‍20:30-23:30 Most SNP (bridge) will be closed down

Does anybody agree that this 'lockdown' the night before is for the rehearsals? I arrive in Bratislava on Saturday morning so will probably head towards the concert area that evening to scope out the stage setup, the wider area and get a sense of how it looks and sounds. And try to get a few photos of what's happening.
