Or maybe Les hits du confinement is the improvised demo JMJ did during his discussion with Joachim Garraud in April 2020... He played for about 4 minutes ;-)

No, other writing credits include Mylene Farmer and the name of the youtuber is also stated, as the performer (just looked it up on the Sacem website)

BLUE DOT IN SPACE (52:41). Jarre referred to Earth as a blue dot in space at the Starmus concert, so this might be the track played before the concert.

The duration is almost the same as "La Cité Radieuse" (which was 52:40). I suppose this is the same track under a different name.

During the afternoon, as the audience were congregating around the Danube from throughout the city, they were welcomed by a brand new composition titled 'Blue Dot in Space'. The music was specially created by Jarre specifically for this event, where real sounds of the stars were weaved into the soundscape, inviting the audience to consider our position on Earth within the cosmos, and the future of our home planet, reflecting the theme of this year’s edition of STARMUS Festival.

I have a full concert recording in WAV (LPCM) 44.1kHz/16bit format from a small Sony ICD-UX543 audio recorder. I will upload here soon. It includes approx 20 mins of the background music as played during the concert build up but is obscured by a lot of chatter and noise from the crowd that was growing all the time around me. I was about central (left/right) to the stage, about halfway between the front row and the "golden circle" access area.

What kind of music was it ? Was it Cousteau-esque or more rhythmic ?

It was very Cousteau-esque but with clicks, whirrs and buzzes every so often. Little bit of mechanical noise, Swatch-like. It was really good and I was there from 6pm when gates opened and I was stood in front of the stage until to the show started and the volume gradually increased over those 2+ hours.

It was always audible but early on, it was quiet but by 15 mins until to show time, it was loud and clear.

Thanks Richard, much appreciated. It only intrigues me even more to hear it now. It might be his way of succeeding Cousteau as the pre-show music.

Both in WAV format. Link expires on Wed 29 May 2024.

From 9min37seconds of Richard's recording Pre-Concert Build-Up can hear it a little. There's a lovely vibe people chatting the sun gradually becoming dusk. This must been similar how PLD was.
