2026 will be the 50th anniversary of Oxygene and JMJ says he has various special things planned, but cannot say any more right now.

I think by this point we should take those "special things" with a huge pinch of salt, sadly.

JMJ concedes there were indeed technical issues with the Zoolook 40th re-issue, it was a digital and analogue master mix-up he says, and gives his fans (the members of this forum, I guess) a grand "merci" for listing the precise timings of all the errors.

Lol. Mix-up or not, nobody bothered to listen to it, that's just a fact. Also, they just replaced it with the 1997 version, with the repeated segment in Ethnicolor and non-original Zoolook.

JMJ praises David Perreau. I will leave this here without comment.

Zoolook was supposed to be "personally remastered" by JMJ though...

Question about Electronica 3 and the recent listing on Amazon. No plans at all for Electronica 3 at this time, the Amazon thing was an error.

Or could be just a smoke screen to not interfere with the marketing strategy for its release, but I'm keen to believe that it's not in the works.

Anyway there was no a single word about a possible new album due '25. I really don't think he is making significant efforts creating a new one.

The Oxymore and Oxyville concepts to be subject of a new project in 2025, with an announcement due before the end of this year.

For me, this was the most interesting bit of the chat. I think not enough was made of the creative Oxyville virtual universe and I'd be pleased if it was made more accessible, celebrated more or just anything really. Seemed like an awful lot of work for something that never got much publicity. I am thrilled that the Bratislava show will get a release, but I am more curious about what JMJ intends to do with Oxyville, rather than just 'retire' that part of his catalogue of projects.

Bridge From The Future, Bratislava is to be released in 2025 as a boxset, with both concert film and a music release. He's working with Brian May on this, as a shared project.

Hopefully, this is how/where the Blue Dot track, that was played in the hours before showtime, will get a release. Great news!

JMJ reads out a question about AI having possible threats, and does he accept there are possible threats? He seems to say no, and that he welcomes AI without reservation, if I heard him right.

Reassured to read in the latest Electronic Sound magazine that JMJ does acknowledge the downsides to AI but is confident these can be resolved. So he's not blind to these issues, which is good:

“It’s the never-ending story where human beings are always thinking that yesterday was better, that tomorrow is going to be worse. It’s not necessarily true because we are talking to each other right now. The invention of fire was pretty dangerous but it allowed us to progress – same with electricity, the fission of atoms and AI.

“Of course, you can always use destructive innovations in a dark way, but if you use AI in a clever and positive way, it’s a huge evolution. I’m not being naive – AI can be used in a very wrong way. We have to be very careful to take a pause, especially ethics-wise and for intellectual property, but all of these issues can be worked out. IP technological issues can be resolved by a technological answer.

“Sourcing the elements AI is using, that’s another long story, but I think as Europeans we have an ability to set up those rules. Having said that, from a purely creative perspective, it can be a fantastic tool and very interesting.”
