Electronic music pioneer arrives in Finland for huge outdoor concert
Jean-Michel Jarre to be seen in Finland!

Electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre will be coming to Finland in June. Jarre has sold over 80 million albums in his career. Jarre will perform at a large outdoor event at the Helsinki Ice Hall on Sunday, June 15.

Tickets for Jarre's last concert in Finland in 2016, which sold out, start at 79.90 euros, and go on sale at Tiketti on Monday, January 27.

Jarre rose to fame with his 1976 album Oxygene. Two years later, he held the first of his giant outdoor concerts. The light show has always been a spectacular sight at Jarre's concerts, and similar splendor is expected in Helsinki.

Jean-Michel Jarre at the Helsinki Ice Hall in the summer of 2025
Electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre will be coming to Finland to perform in June. Jarre, who has sold over 80 million albums in total, will bring his massive show to a large outdoor event at the Helsinki Ice Hall event venue on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
Tickets for Jarre's concert, which last sold out in Finland in 2016 at the Jäähalli, start at 79.90 euros, and go on sale at Tiketti on Monday, January 27.
Jean-Michel Jarre introduced the world to the different dimensions of electronic music and spectacular laser shows back in the 1970s, when the current popularity of electronic music was unknown. He shocked the world with his amazing musical and lighting solutions and laid the foundation for the style from which superstars like David Guetta and Avicii have drawn their success.
Jarre is a versatile artist who is also a composer and lyricist and has composed music for many films, among other things. Throughout his career, Jarre has also been a messenger and advocate for copyright.
Jarre rose to worldwide fame with his 1976 album Oxygene. Two years later, he held the first of his gigantic open-air concerts. Jarre's performance was watched by an estimated audience of one million people at the Place de la Concorde in Paris.

Now this was a BIG surprise for me! It'll be a privilege to see these two electronic music Legends share the same stage for the first time.

I wonder if they are going to perform Zero Gravity together? :D

I have no doubt they are going to play Zero Gravity together. The original, not the remix JMJ usually plays. This will be interesting.

Remember, Air were on the same stage earlier in the day as JMJ at the Blue Dot festival in 2016 but there was no Close Your Eyes live performance. However, this time does seem to be different, with text on the poster that says TD will be special guests at JMJ's show. Very exciting!

A live performance of the original Zero Gravity would be fabulous, but so at odds with JMJ's current live setlist - Versaille, Bratislava, La Rochelle etc

According to the announcement of the promoter on Instagram TD will perform a concert on their own, as part of their "Continuum" tour.

Maybe both? A concert on their own plus an appearance with JMJ to perform "Zero Gravity"?

Yes, that would make sense.
I hope it will be realized indeed. Live. Not all-playbacked.
