For the live "pop-up" event, I'd love to see all the old time hands on stage with him: Dominique Perrier, Francis Rimbert, Michel Geiss, Christine Durand, Joe Hammer, Guy Delacroix, Sylvian Durand and more but they really would look like a bunch of oldies (!) so also have some guest slots from younger artists that have been inspired by or worked with JMJ over the years. Adiescar Chase would be a great addition!

For the visuals, go back to the fabulous pop-art illustrations that were used at Concorde, Lyon, Docklands, La Défense and CPLT. I much prefer that aesthetic to the cool, clinical digital patterns of the Electronica era. My favourite of these visuals is the computer game robots projected during Zoolookologie in La Défense. Whenever I hear that track, I see the robots!

Also, bring back the Magnetic Fields snake and the Calypso jellyfish!

Probably next year. The style? I hope he will do something that he hasn't done before, something fresh that will shock some of the fanbase, somehing that goes against the expectations, like Zoolook, Waiting for Couteau, Metamorphoses, Sessions 2000, Electronica or Oxymore did. Though I doubt he can do an other Oxymore, that album is simply brillant and among his best works.

I always think it's getting harder and harder to come up with something new after 5 decades of reinventing himself so many times, experimenting, taking risks, but he still seems to find a way to do something he hasn't done, like using a didgeridoo on Azimuth and things like that.

It's a really tough question, maybe some dark electro style like A Question of Blood, Conquistador, Here for You could work on a whole album or he could do a whole album collaborating with Asian artists (with more Gong Li spoken word?) like he originally wanted for Electronica 3 in 2019. But first, he will probably find a new tool that inspires him. He said a few times that most of his albums start with a new instrument or software rather than direct musical inspiration.

Also, as a great figure of 1970s futurism, he should and will continue to embrace VR and AI, that's just who he is, he will always love technology, that 'oh those were the days' attitude is quite far from him.
And I hope Adiescar will be part of the new album, JMJ needs young, fresh minds in his studio, he is not going backwards. I hope he will work with more 20-35 year old musicians, like Adiescar and Zaho de Sagazan.

I would love to see another album like Metamorphosis or a second Chronologie album. I am a huge fan of that album and tour. Maybe because it was also the first tour I saw live.

I think we should be realistic: he will never do an other sequel to a previous album. There will never be a second Chronologie, a second Metamorphoses, more of the same, that's not his thing. The only album that ever had proper sequels was Oxygene and you had wait 20 years for one, he released them for anniversaries. And even those albums were not just more Oxygene, even Oxygene 7-13 had quite some critics and of course, Oxygene 3 was very divisive at the time for being produced with a modern, digital downtempo sound design on Ableton. Oxygene 20 was also created specifically to end the trilogy, though he once said something about a prequel, but that's different.
Equinoxe Infinity wasn't even a real sequel, more like some sort of tribute to the album, but with totally some different sounding tracks. Electronica had a Vol.2 simply because Electronica 1 was already too long and last year, he said that Electronica 3 was kind of done by producing Oxymoreworks. He never even tried to do sequels for any other album. I know nostlagia is selling well nowadays, but Jarre simply doesn't care.

He won't make 90s music again, with the instruments of Chronologie and Metamorphoses. I absolutely love both of those albums, but we have to accept, those times are over.

Really? Joachim Garraud specifically said that they only had 4 other tracks apart from the ones he did put on the album. Crazy Saturday (which was later reused for Printemps de Bourges), C'est la Vie 2, Lonely Beat (which was a trip hop song) and one other unknown.

Jarre (EDDA) has just registed a new brand: "To Beep of not to Beep".

Maybe that means nothing but this use to be a first step prior to release a new album.

e.g. "Teo & Tea" was registered january 1st 2007, "Planet Jarre" december 9th 2017 or "Equinoxe 2058" may 29th 2018 (some weeks later, the final title "Equinoxe Infinity" was already registered). Just the same happened with "Flow" registered june 20th 2019 and a month later as "EON". "Oxymore" was registered too november 30th 2021. Nevertheless, in recent years other trademarks have been registered that are unrelated to any record (Imadjinn, Beyond, Promptitudes...) so lets see what happen...
