I didn't notice on the vinyl, but on "Free Floating Anxiety," around the 57 sec. mark and after, on the left channel, noise sound appeared off and on, cracking too present until the end. I mean, compared to the "Rarities" CD edition without this problem.
What do you think it is?

I've just writen to Tranversales Disques about this problem.
So the crackling is also on the vinyl after a second listen and there is almost 2 seconds of fade-out missing on this track 13

Yes, this is correct. I always throught that JMJ signed with Motors/Dreyfus after Francis Dreyfus listened to Oxygene in 1976 and decided to take a risk on an instrumental album... no singer, no drummer, 7-8 minute long tracks ... that several other record labels had rejected. That was always the folklore story that got told about JMJ's breakthrough album.

But turns out JMJ was signed to the Motos/Dreyfus label at least three years before Oxygene, and was already well known to Francis Dreyfus.

Yeah, I also checked the recording of the 1973 vinyl, there's definitely noise there. The cut is brutal, on the album it's much more mellow.

But turns out JMJ was signed to the Motos/Dreyfus label at least three years before Oxygene, and was already well known to Francis Dreyfus.

Jarre was a close school friend of International Manager of Disques Motors who introduced him to Francis Dreyfus; Francis accepted to sign an exclusive songwriter contract + recording contract with Jarre.

At the time Jarre was earning his life as a songwriter (for Françoise Hardy, Gérard Lenorman, and a few others) while studying at GRM (where he met Hélène) and recording electro-acoustic music. Jarre introduced Hélène to Francis Dreyfus, and, some time later, Francis Dreyfus proposed her a job as Copyright Manager when the position became vacant.

Francis introduced Jarre to Christophe to write lyrics on the music he demoed for his first album (before Christophe only recorded EP’s) which was Les Paradis Perdus. The collaboration continued with the second album Les Mots Bleus, both successful albums with hit songs, but the relation between Christophe and Jarre turned sour (egos ?).

Deserted Palace was recorded by Jarre on the proposal of Dreyfus. It was also used by Sam Fox Music company, co-publisher, in its musical library. Dreyfus owns the master.

The parallel jobs with other songwriters and artists were allowed in his exclusive song-writer contract, they were even most welcome, especially the co-writing of and producing the best two albums of Patrick Juvet Mort ou Vif and Paris by Night.

Before his contract was to expire in March 1977, Jarre owed a last recording to the company. He offered Francis to listen to his new album to be called Oxygene; the boss was totally convinced and excited.

Hi everybody! I'm a Jarre Fan born in Argentina. I heard about the release of "Deserted Palace" on vinyl, but they haven't imported it here yet. I wanted to know if it will be available soon on platforms like Spotify or Tidal, or where it can be downloaded in mp3 format at 320 or in FLAC.
