I don't like these pointless, "out of context", children in a toy store bass sweeps, just to shake the "bass head" audience with the subs.

Some of these visuals are an AI-processed version of the "Circle of Life" video that was once shown while playing Oxygene 12.

Do you mean Arpegiateur? From the YouTube clips, that has a bass much stronger and louder than the recordings (China, Essentials, Planet Jarre).

Is there any video of If the wind could speak? I'm guessing it's probably the albume version but oh well 😅

Eg. at RV4 ending and a lot of other cases. Cheap, ridiculous overuse.

He means "bass drops", like those in Eth Dead Sea, the loudest one is around 1:30, a clear one at the very end (3:20)

It is a type of bass sound that is very "trending". I can't watch any trailer of any movie without it being present in recent years. In Bratislava last year, it surprised me how powerful it sounded. It is present in all the new arrangements of JMJ.

Yesterday I was listening very carefully to Arpegiator with some good headphones, both from Oslo and from Helsinki. I have to say that I don’t know if the melody in the second part is played live, but it sounds to me like it is. Honestly, I enjoyed it a lot. It sounds incredibly good. I think the same about Magnetic Fields 2 and Magnetic Fields 1, which has a very good arrangement too with new chords added in some parts.

It's not. AFAIR the only things JMJ is playing live is the intro of O2 and the outro of O2 - that's because you can hear he's completely butchering it (as he has been for years), it sounds as if someone tried to play it from memory after hearing it once. And no, he's not playing the main theme live (the fast notes), it requires utmost agility, precision and synchronization, which - given the quality of his playing of the outro - JMJ cannot provide. The same holds for the performances of O2 on the Electronica Tour and later shows.

Chords? No, there are no new chords in MF1. The new lead sound in MF2 verses is also pre-recorded (it sounds exactly the same in both performances and - as above - it's too fast for JMJ to perform given his performance of the O2 outro)

I don't doubt your assessment on this and yet he wears those camera specs during O2 on this tour, showing his hands playing throughout the track. He hasn't done that previously for this track, I think before during the Electronica tour, it was for O8. A brave move?
