Interesting to see JMJ participating, since he's promoting AI so much.

He is fine with using genAI to steal the work of visual artists, but when its about music it suddenly becomes a problem for him?
I'm glad he is pushing back against companies like Suno, but to do this while using AI generated art in his concert is hypocrisy.
I and many other artists are experiencing significant loss of income thanks to AI, and for Jarre to throw visual artists under the bus with a constant stream of pro AI interviews and speeches, and then slam AI when it violates his profession is actually offensive to me.
I've been a JMJ fan for over 40 years, I'm done.

"Interesting" is a very diplomatic way of putting it.

I think that people's opinion about AI will evolve over time. At first everyone is in awe "wow how cool is that", but later when AI takes your job you become less enthusiastic to say at least. It seems that not only artists, but ordinary people realize that, and growing number of people start to dislike AI "art" as being imitative and bland. JMJ may be in the "transition" period right now.

Maybe someone should tell him that we shouldn't be afraid of AI. :)
