Yeah, JMJ is really an uncommon character.
I really like him as a musician aswell as a person.

I also remember that I sent him a thanks letter in 1988 when he commercialized "Revolutions"....funnily enough, I received a greeting card of him, with a real autograph, 3 years later

In the 90's, my devotion to the man was so great that I took the decision to move him out of my head as my obsession began to disturb my life, well kind of, you see what I mean... So I focused on techno and trance for a few years, but ...

I attended his concert at the effel tower in 1997. Good sound, many people around, really great ambiance, plenty of light FX.
There was no JMJ concert at the Eiffel Tower, Huge fireworks display though.

I know this beacuse I was there that night ;-)

Hi Antigoon,

It is possible that we are not talking about the same one.

Well, my memory is getting bad  : it was not in 97 but in '98, and it happened on The Champs de Mars (opposite the Effeil Tower). It happened on 14th July '98... and I know I was definitely there, and was certainly not the only one !

The event was called "Electronic Night": JMJ played live with a Japanese DJ amongst other guests.

Were you there ?

I was at the eiffel tower in 14-07-1997 and there was a huge show, JMJ was not part of it ;-)

He was there in 1995 and 1998 though...

I was there too in 1998, biggest mistake of my life..., sorry you went throught the same experience mate ;-)

You really had to be there in 1995 to see a great concert (although not as great as PLD 5 years before though...)

I would have liked to attend that show, the music was different but still cool concept.

I see what you mean, not really "Jarrific" music but rather techno and a bit of rap sound..."P...p...p...p...Parlez-vous Français???".

I really loved techno at the same period, that's why I loved that show...

In 95, I was in the area at the time everybody was coming back from the concert. At 12' pm ish, The metros were ALL FULL of people for more than an hour. For reasons I explained above, I did not want to attend this concert.

However, I forgot to mention that I also attended the concert at the Zenith (Paris) in 97, during Oxygen tour... it was pure happiness for nearly 2 hours. He tried to get buy with a Theremin, which was amusing.

Ok, now I wonder why it's incomplete  It sounds like the best-quality amateur recording out of the whole EIC tour.
