Who researches these statistics!!!!!Its pathetic
You can inform yourself about the critical freshwater problem that we face (with we I mean humans, because nature will find a way, but we won't) on this site:

And think a little better about your water use. You are forgetting many, many things.

Equin(00)xe, what do you think of douching, going to the toilet etc. 1 minute douching waste 10 litres of water. Every go to the toilet about 15/20. That's also water!

Read again...
Equin(00)xe wrote:I drink on average 2-3 Litres of water a day, which is my daily Fluid intake,I wash twice a day using about 2 Litres of water in total and probably about a third of a litre when i clean my teeth twice a day!!!!and on average a few trips to the Toilet(not sure of the combined water useage of that) even with Cooking for meals,I would never amount to using 145 Litres a day!!!!I wouldn't even use half of that amount in a day, even on every other day when i have a Shower

I have had my water supply converted to a Water Meter,so I'm aware of how much water I use daily roughly,as I have to pay for what i use, thus this makes you far more conscious as to how you use and also view water,it has also helped lower my Water costs too, instead of paying a flat rate regardless of how much i use,I have helped to lower my Money expenditure..as I make more of an effort to not take it for granted that I have the privilige of water at convenience, and there is no need to flush everytime you use the toilet(Unless of course its a Richard the Third)and theres nothing Unhygenic about flushing after 3 or 4 or more trips instead of Flushing everytime someone has used the Toilet for Fluid expelsion(and before anyone asks,no My house doesnt stink of P*** just because i don't flush everytime)

I Wonder just how many People leave the Tap running whilst they clean their teeth????When your paying for that excess(unecessary waste of clean water)you learn to switch the tap off

I find it so ironic that we as Humans spend so much energy in expelling views about saving water, yet all across the Globe there are Supermarkets stacked with Litre upon litre of Water In plastic bottles from which the Bottled water companies are making a huge fortune for what is a free natural source,Fair enough in some countries this is essential due to the Natural sanitation of some countries and the Mains water supply is not suitable to drink direct from the tap,so maybe a bottle supply from the local shop is needed but in the West its an absolute disgrace to have running clean water supplies direct in our homes but we have all these bottles on the shelf, where by fat cat companies are making money from it yet in Africa they have to travel Miles to get a large Vessel full, just to survive..

And think a little better about your water use. You are forgetting many, many things.
list the things that I'm forgetting that I havent already mentioned?I know exactly what I use as I'm metered..So i know every function in my daily routine that I and my family use a water source in our Home

Oops, I read over it  .
But that 145 litres is the average of all people in Europe, so there are people who use more, and people who use less. I flush every time I go to the toilet, just because I'm used to it. I douche every day without a water-saving douchehead.

I agree with you that it's wrong that we spill water (imagine, we douche and flush with drinkwater), but it's no reason for me to use water-saving things, as long as I don't overspill water. I beware for leaking taps, don't let the taps running when I don't use it, etc. But that's the same with electricity.

It's a good question to think about!

Yes it's really cool, but I would liek to see it in a larger format. The background looks to be from Gdansk.
