I may be on my own when I say this, but this year is the 30th anniversary of 'Oxygene'. Somehow I can't picture JMJ ignoring this or Dreyfus music to make a few extra bucks along the way. We are so engrossed in the new single and album, we are overlooking 'Oxygene'. I would laugh my ass off if we walked into a music store the day the 'new' Jarre album comes out to see some re-vamped issue of 'Oxygene sitting alongside.
Jarre concerts attended - Destination Docklands 1988 - Paris La Defense 1990 - Europe In Concert 1993 (Manchester & London) - Oxygene Tour 1997 (Birmingham)

It was rumoured that JM planned to do something. But like you say, I can't imagine Dreyfus overlooking it.. not trying to cash in on it would be a missed opportunity for them... :?

It will probably just be a new Oxygene - Oxygene 7-13 double CD with a new booklet. :P

Yes, I think too.... Remember when "AERO" was released in September 2004? A few months before, FDM's "The Essential" came out. No coincidence, right? The reason for not doing any promotion for Jarre's new album by Warner might be because they don't want FDM to still have time to release something else earlier.....

Sure, when collecting... but when only the music counts, as it does to me, it's worth nothing. :)

I think Dreyfus doesn't need much time to put together a new package for Oxygene and release it. Then again, I'm not sure whether or not this would necessarily affect the new albums release negatively. It's attention. Oxygene is known, people may get interested.. "Oh right, this Oxygene dude... what's he up to these days?" and the new album is on the same shelve...

Just a thought ;)
