I don't know a non-great version of Ethnicolor.

I've heard an audience recording once, but the quality is too poor for me to play it again...

The rehearsal version (18th June 2001) was very good! Good syncronisation with the puppets (I didn't know how to say). But there were many problems with the 19th June 2001 version. The syncronisation was wrong. And they canceled the song for the last concert (TV broadcast, 20th June 2001).

This is a picture during "Ethnicolor" at the "Full Dress rehearsal"...

I know the version from rehearsals, which's great...well, "Ethnicolor" is always great as somebody mentioned

Pity it wasn't played during the concert... :(

People expected it, listening to the recording you can hear some screams like "Ethnicolor, Ethnicolor!".

I don't remember the actual reason why it wasn't played at the second concert? I somehow remember it being censored for some odd reason.

Huh, censored? I think you are completely wrong. There where many problems at the second show (the first concert after the FDR) with "Ethnicolor". The syncronisation with the puppets was wrong. Some wrong sound where there, ... They canceled it for the last show after this.

I remember some site with SMS messages sent during, after and before the concert... it also had something about OMG ETHNICOLOR CENSORED or something... not sure at all, but thanks for the clarification.

Ethnicolor from akropolis rocked!!!!

Had the drums style from Egypt, and fantastic guitar from Patrick.

I never went to the show saddly, but did download a recording from the rehersals a while ago, was impressed with equinoxe 4, oxygene 4 sounded different, and revolutions was unusual too, at the moment where JMJ performs the impro' bit towards the end of the track, JMJ seems to have a few technical problems, and its Laurent and Patrick who save the day with some excellent improvisation of their own untill JMJ can sort out his problems.

Its a shame that this was his last concert with a proper band on stage.... :?:
