Does anyone recognize this bit?

http://jote.pai.net.pl/mrslowx8.mp3

This is what you get when cleverly slow down the tape rewind effect at the beginning of Melancholic Rodeo.

Is this is an old track of JMJ?
Is this Rimbert's track?
Is this something else, and if so - what is it?

Sounds 70s/80s to me...

mods - please don't remove it - it's really a very short snippet of the original (two seconds)
Jarre concerts attended - Destination Docklands 1988 - Paris La Defense 1990 - Europe In Concert 1993 (Manchester & London) - Oxygene Tour 1997 (Birmingham)

"A group of men and woman entered the laboratory one month ago to live in a smell free world. Body odour, sweaty arms pits and smelly feet are to create the energy to survive. A total mystery surrounds this experiment, and it's project code name: B.O and Smell'i "

what if this a new fake?
Nah....I don't think so.....

How ever I let open the possibility that maybe...just maybe there will be a second / additional release (call it a second album) which is not so dance related. But that is just wishful thinking I guess.....it is definitely not something I have read somewhere but merely a wish..... :)

However some artists do release sometimes more that 1 album simultaneously which differ from each other. And Jean Michel did mention he wants to release more versions of the tracks (evolved version so to say) so who knows.....

You never know with the kind of mystery (little to none promotion / publicity = the Warner experimient) this release is surrounded..... :?

My first impression is something on the lines of 'Rendez-Vous'

has been mentioned before.... really: what if this is a fake album by warner, and only the TeoTea pieces are genuine? then they would really have fvcked us up the a$$...hehe. And even me would have fallen for it.... God, I just love that thought. Just imagine what kinda faces we would all make when we insert the commercial release in the CD player and out come so fvcking different tracks....

Well, then again, JMJ / Warner / AP would potentially risk getting bad reviews in case journalists would base their thoughts on the fake release.... just some thoughts :mryellow:

To me it souonds like a remix album. Possibly several Dance DJ's have been brought in to remix the official studio album (a bit like they did with the Chronologie 6 remixes album but better).

I just can't see this being the finished article, so CLUBMIX may be right. Oh the shame of it if Warners have gotten one over on us :!:

I see it as wishful thinking for people who had hoped for another Oxygene album.

"What if Téo & Téa is just an early Aprils fool from Jarre and Warner, and March 26th the real album comes out, and it's just like Oxygene, and got nothing to do with dance music”.

Stop it already. Téo & Téa is for real, and if you (no one specific) can't hear this is genuine Jarre, then it just sucks to be you. Deal with it! Nothing on this album reminds me of anyone else but Jarre. It's nothing that could've been done by anyone with a laptop. This is Jarre expressing himself in 2006/07.

Sorry for being a sour grape here, perhaps it's got to do with the wine I drank.

nonono... I am not hanging back in the old days.... just pointed out a possibility. I am not saying I don't like the album because it's not a third Oxygène style album..... I might also be completely wrong and this **IS** the real deal. But just imagine if it wasn't... I am not hoping for something better.

People at Warner aren't fools... they also know what the Net can do. And why release a promo single without JMJ's name on it "just to test how people pick it up without seeing who made it" and at the same time release the full promo album with some of the same tracks, but JMJ's name is on it?

Agreed, it's a bit hypothetical that this might a giant desorientation move by Warner... But wouldn'0t they be the first to mislead fans in such a way?

and I must say (after having completely read Android's post) that I don't dislike the album, **EVEN** if it were made by someone else. And: how can you tell it's genuine Jarre? Noone actually can, except himself?

You still got a point there, some are very disappointed that it is not another Oxygene album.

I don't think it's on the fake line again, seems more reliable now, but I can only be 100% sure when it is official.
