The temperature meter in my car...it's freaking nuts and keeps on jumping between 0-90 °C. I have to bring the car to the repair shop and let them have a look at the givers before their vacation. :thunder:

your car might be suffering from something else when the temp. meter seems to "freak out".... I had this as well ages ago, and it turned out to be a broken cylinder head gasket and leaking cooler water

Really?! :o Oh man...I hope it isn't that serious, but thanks for the warning. :?
I guess I will check the water level or any eventual leakings then.
A strange thing is that sometimes the meter doesn't move at all for like half an hour or so, despite that the engine is running as warm as it use to. No changes in the fuel consumtion what so ever.
I've been able to locate the givers...one is next to the thermostat and a second one on the other tube running water between the engine and the radiator. The contacts are locked with some kind of locking washers but I don't know how to remove them, but if you move them gently back and forward the meter starts to "flicker" as if there was a weak contact.

I think I have that "poster" somewhere. In fact, it's not even a poster, just a page from a magazine... :punch:
