I had some doubts but it shows again and again that some don't know what Freedom (of Speech) stands for:

http://jarreforum.com/showthread.php?p=427

And be sure to read their faq:
http://jarreforum.com/faq.php?faq=vb_faq
and read how much 'freedom' you really have...

The name of the forum suggests otherwise...

And there is more but I won't disclose that (yet)...

So I'm definately going to boycot the 'new' jarreforum and you won't see me there, just here.

I'm not sure I'll actively boycott it, as that seems a bit extreme, but I just don't see the point when this one was up earlier and (in my opinion) looks better too. I mean, was there a specific reason why the Aero Prod. endorsement was given to JarreUK and not this one? It states on the FAQ too that some (read: most) material is considered 'questionable'?

Also, from what I've read, the people are nicer and more of a community in this forum.

So no, I won't boycott it, as that's taking it too far, but I really don't see the point of it apart from to prove that one forum is supposedly 'better' than the other because Aero Productions has decided (wrongly, in my view) to give their endorsement to JarreUK.

Hi,

No boycott on my account.

But if they (or by any means people here) try to shut my "wise" reasoning up, I'll put up a hell of a fight 8-), give all lots of fun and make sure no one passes on as stupid and mindless, not minding looking like an asshole in the process...

I support both, and will. This one is younger and tougher, the other one seems to be going down the "hipocrit, polite but glamour" way, more for the VIP well dressed look whereas this one is more of the mechanical oiled suited one.

Here we're in the formula 1 pits, in the other, were watching from the stands... That's my impression for now, but as I said and believe, there's lost of room for everything.

Nike marketing move having "Jarre" registered as a user there, ops, perharps I should have had not said this but... er... re-read "marketing move".

Kind Regards,
AMR

JarreUK's Space of Freedom forum and it's makers can only do the best they can to suit everyone's needs. I'm not trying to support them in anyway, what I am pretty sick of now is all the babbling over nothing. Everyone does have the right to express their feelings on any forum, the rules on Space of Freedom are there for everyone's safety.

I´m gonna wait with the vote, but I don´t like the fact that they wont tolerate the miming discussion! I know some people can´t discuss this topic on a proper basic, but I, for one, wouldn´t mind a good healthy discussion about it!!

I personally don´t mind the miming-thing as long as Mr. Jarre would only try to make a little efford to hide it!! I agree, you can´t see it at a big concert among the audience, but now when he´s releasing dvd´s for the future generations....

Even a 10 year old girl with no musically background can see that he´s, for the most parts, just banging his hands at the keyboards!! :?

And I don´t mind that at all, if it wasn´t because it is getting filmed and showned on dvd....

As I said, I don´t mind he´s miming (When he does), but i think it´s sad to see when it´s that obvious! :? Why can´t he just try to hide it some more?? When I was 12 years old, I didn´t know anything about his playing, it all was just sooooo magical!!! But now, as an "adult" (31), I find it rather embarrising to see "The godfather of electronic music" just banging the keyboards, without the slightest interest, in making it looking natural and authentic!?? I´m sure the dvd releases is within his knowledge! I´m also thinking of all those "not Jarre fans" around the world!! What must they think?? And people in the future who´s gonna hear his music and watch the dvd´s!! You just get the feeling that he doesn´t care about the music, but just how big and good the show is visually!? And I know the shows are great for promotion, but when you sit in your livingroom with some friends in the evening, and you see Jarre on stage just... well you know.... it just looks so stupid!! IMO that is!!

But as I said, I can live with that, even though I think it looks stupid and somewhat embarrising!

But no, I don´t know why the new forum can´t handle a debate like this!?? And no, I´m not gonna "boycott" it! I just like this forum the better!! :D

And sorry for my loooong post, I just couldn´t help myself.... :D

Can I just say that this world ( internet, jarre related sites and more ) has space enough for everyone and everything ? That is what tolerance is. I am on no-one's side other than my own on this topic - I have subscribed for both forums - but if you don't like something, that is your opinion. Everyone has their own view... it would be very boring if they were all the same...

I just think you might have been a little naive to believe that something that appears to have some form of official support would offer you complete freedom to say what you want ?.. ...there are always rules - after all, who really wants to hear themselves being possibly criticised or ripped to pieces by others..?

Friendly competition is always good and fresh, but I have no grudges against Space of Freedom. ;)

Bored of the subject already. I don't give a toss about miming, miming badly, not miming. I just love the music and thats what it is about.
