Still I wonder how limited the 3D edition really is going to be... :cool2:

Good evening, as a new poster here I'd like to thank all of you. It has been very interesting reading all your messages.
I too am looking forward to Oxygene 3-D. I can't dismiss Teo&Tea completely.
I think Jarre takes chances with his art. sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
Oxygene 7-13 was just perfect in every way. His albums since have been things of patchy delights. Metamorphoses had some moments on it but was marred by the 12 DOTS fiasco(there is no other word). Aero was a long time coming and again had some lovely pieces.
I have seen some of the Oxygene 3-D clips on You Tube and what I see is a man in his element. Watching him with those old analogue monsters is like watching John Williams with his guitar. An artist in communion with his instrument. it just looks effortless.
on the subject on lives mistakes, hurrah! I welcome them. David Gilmour plays his cristaline guitar solo's differently each time, but creates the same mood albeit with the odd bum note. It's not science or maths but art!
Above all, I'm looking forward to revisiting that night in January 1991 when I first heard Oxygene in it's entirety. it led to me becoming a musician myself.
What has that album done for me? It's paid my mortgage, many electricity bills. Without it I wouldn't be who I am today.
Bravo Jean-Michel, here's to the next 30 years!

hi b.blues and welcome to this forum. I'd suggest you write something about you in the "Introduce Yourself" ( viewforum.php?f=13 ) part of this forum. Not only to introduce yourself, but also to read about the others

This disc is brilliant, and the new tracks are powerfull and overwhelming.

Jean Michel crafted the best electronic music ever IMHO (Equinoxe - Oxygène - somehow Chronologie), and now we have this concert... wow. I think this concert and those to come will be "classical" pieces in electronic music with claims to fame in very short time.

This DVD is analogic delight pushed to the maximum level, with my personnal fave greatest performance of all being Oxygène V (Oh my god !).

Luckilly we get to observe his commitment to live performing (besides his perfectionnist attitude to music). That's so great.

Thanks, M. Jarre / Merci, Jean-Michel !

Nice update... but I wonder why his official site's biographies have always been outdated. And his discography only includes Oxygene? :P
