Not really its pretty simple to play two handed using your index Finger on each.....When your technically able to play it,your fingers will simply just go there without a thought,like any playing.Jarre can certainly not be that chronically out of practice to get it right to the point where he needs 20 takes!!!,its not a large passage of Music that is hard to recall,Yes it is different on the second passage,but they are the same notes its just got a section removed and the melody before the da dada da is played 3 more times to the first passage ,Bum notes perhaps I could understand but not too skilled to require that many Takes for someone of Jarres stature and ability.But that said he's never played it right on the concerts which he's played it where the Video footage has been availible(Mainly Oxygene tour Katowice)he plays totally the wrong notesJakob BC wrote:If you can all the notes in the head, it only requires some pleying practise, unless you are skilled. I am not a very skilled when it comes to keyplaying but I'd say it takes some consentration to do the Oxygene 2 lead perfectly but it isn't impossible, I can't think that JMJ who got pianolessons etc cannot play this when I can here in my isolated room, so there must have been other reasons.

I know exaclty what you mean. I had that same problem when I started playing. I practiced and I practiced and I could play it like the manner born. But when I was getting ready to record it I lost all the notes in my head. I didn't know what to play or how to play it anymore. Its not fair to beat him up over it,He's done it on the Oxygene tour,played a few bum notes on Oxygene 2,after all he's Human and I'm glad he's doing something positive to blow out the flames of the playback sceptics who slag him off.

I don't know wich portable it is, but it seems a vintage one!
