Well the DVD last an Hour,so they could easily stretch that out for a Live concert with Playing longer Versions of parts 1-6,seeing as its totally live its more than easy to Improvise the tracks,so theres no need for presequencing to make the tracks Longer or shorter,or sticking to a " 5 Minute" version, you merely Improvise as is,and Jarres Probably added or worked out more "Variation" versions for the Upcoming concerts.I'll bet there will be more of a "see where the track Goes" with the Live Concerts rather than stick to the rigid trackRobi wrote:plus parts from Oxy 7-13?
Ahh, finally someone does a proper review, thanks Equinoxe. I always knew that he couldn't re-record the thing, just like that. That would be waaay too much effort - not to mention it would sound totally different in all aspects. So it is a remaster, and if you say that he's screwd around with it in some ways, than I'm sure, that for me same as for you, some of the magic will be destroyed.Equinoxe wrote:The Remastered CD???
If I'm totally Honest, this new Mix has totally killed the original feel with this remastered Album, apart from a few additional VCS EFX here and there,if that is rerecorded from the Original score them I'm a dutchman...Its pretty clear he just remastered the original Mixes, apart from a few Noises here and there and the lack of phasered MP7 on part 4,its identical, there is a little more modulation of FX in certain places And certainly a dramatic EQ change of certain sections of the tracks fro mthe orginal, and a larger reverberation overall, but it sounds just like the original tracks with a little more clarity not a rerecording,it sounds so much wider than the original mix,but in some ways sort of ruins the Emotion, the Mix is far too wet, many of the instruments are more present in the mix that needed more attention to pick them out in the original.Ok as a 30 years later version, but not convincingly well mixed to stay true to the original Oxygene concept there's fluctuations in the Eminent string volumes on Part 2,and having the Album at higher volumes, seems to Induce "Noise",which would suggest its more than likely taken from the original mixes rather than cleanly rerecorded.I've only briefly listened to the CD but will give it more attention later.its just merely my first impressions.
I prefer the Original Album version, but the DVD .....Awesome![]()
